
Code and Conventions
Fast paced - this is were the multiple shots are used in quick succession in order to convey lots of information quickly.
Slow paced - this is the opposite of fast paced editing using shots for long durations being at least 15 seconds long.
Jump cuts - this is where a single continuous shot is take and then broken into two parts and removing a scene in the middle of the take to make o jump forward.
CGI - This is animated graphic's that are used to contribute to media and can be 2d or more commonly 3d and Chroma key is a visual effect that use layering of two images based on the chroma range.
Parallel editing - this is were there are two different stories going on in the background of the song.
Timing to tacks - this is were the editors will sync the music to match the main parts of the song.
Diegetic - this is sound that the is met to be in the location and expected to be heard by the character.
Non Diegetic - this is added in later for effect on the scene e.g narrator.
Parallel sound - this is when the music will match the mood of the video. Contrapuntal sound - this is when the music will go against the mood of the music.
